About Us

Move Over Hollywood… Pop Digerati = the New Glitterati!
We started PopDigerati as an experiment in our spare time after work. The concept was simple–scour the web in search of the digerati of Web 2.0. Then, build the buzz through a community to see what kind of impact this would have on society and traditional media.

Can you imagine reading more stories in the press about real people who are having a profound impact on society? How about receiving updates on their latest accomplishments? In our opinion, this sure beats reading about the Hollywood glitterati. We also think traditional media doesn’t get the digerati; they only cover the technology angle or the “money deal”.

Chief Bloggers – Mike & Brion
Who are Mike and Brion anyway? We’re just two ordinary guys who probably spend way too much time surfing the ‘Net. During the day, we’re both toiling away in our Silicon Valley tech jobs. After hours, we’re blogging away to bring you the best of the Net.

Boston Red SoxMike Fennelly: If Mike posted his picture you’d see a bottle of beer in one hand (or nearby)[ed. note. after viewing The Ring twice in one night, Mike just doesn't photograph correctly anymore] If he didn’t have to type, he’d probably two-fist it. If he had opposible toes, he’d four-fist it. I know… You’re probably thinking why doesn’t he get the Thirst Aid Helmet right? That’s probably right up there on his Christmas / birthday list. Mike is also a gamer, a die hard Red Sox fan(and Yankee Hater par excellence), and enjoys watching Futurama , The Simpsons, and the late, great Mystery Science Theater 3000.

San Jose SharksBrion Lau: Brion didn’t set out to become a Pop Digerati blogger. However, when he stumbled upon (Stumble.com pun intended) this idea, he decided to go for it. When he’s not on the Net, Brion enjoys tinkering around with his heirloom garden, following the San Jose Sharks, spending time with his family, and secretly dreaming how he’ll become a pop digerati himself!
