Congdon gained a strong following through her stint at Rocketboom and departed in July 2006. Did we mention that Brion met her in person at a blogging conference in August 2006? Yes, he’s so proud of his five second brush with fame.

Weblogs Inc

Jason McCabe Calacanis is CEO and co-founder of Weblogs Inc, a network of widely read blogs including Engadget – ranked #1 by Technorati. Founded in January of 2004, Weblogs became a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL in November of 2005. Calacanis, who was appointed a senior vice president of AOL, maintains editorial supervision over Weblogs, Inc. In June of 2006, Calacanis relaunched Netscape and was named its general manager. His views on media and media philanthropy can be read daily on his own blog, Calacanis.com.
